Calvin: Mommy what are you making? Is that for me?
Me: Yeah son, It's for you.
Calvin: Eeeeee (squealing with delight)
Me: I hoping it will be done by Monday, give a few days or so.
Daddy: Yeah, right, don't count on this Monday son, maybe a Monday sometime next year!
Calvin: No mommy I want it Monday!
Hey I'm just happy he wants something that's knitted by me. He's always interested in the process of something hand made coming together, but always said that knitted things are for girls
Unexpected delights.
Something else unexpected, on the porch waiting for me when I got home...a sweet little package from Wendy, full of pre holiday goodies. Thanks!
Check out Kay's page (maybe in her December archives), she also knitted her son the same sweater.
Oh my goodness, that will adorable on Calvin. It's such a manly and classic style, he is sure to look dapper. And it's wonderful that he appreciates what you're making...yeah!

How cute is that? I was wondering what you had been up to the last couple days!

That's so adorable! This may be a silly question, but how did you get it kid sized? Did you just use smaller yarn and needles than the pattern called for?

Marion,
I did use a size 5 needle for the entire project and a DK weight yarn...for the smallest size sweater.

That's gonna look good on him. It looks really difficult though. I admire your talent! It's nice he's getting into the knitted garments.
